In this instance, lasers work by targeting the specific pigment in the hair follicle, below the skin's surface. The laser energy is transformed into heat, which destroys the hair follicle bulb leaving the surrounding skin unaffected. Facial areas such as the upper lip and sideburns, bikini area, upper and lower legs, arms, chest, and back may be treated leaving skin smooth, stubble free and without the irritation of ingrown hairs.
We recommend a minimum of 3 treatments, and then a maintenance schedule according to each individual. Hair grows in cycles, and the process is most effective on hair during the early growth phase of the cycle. After each session, there will be some visible hair reduction. The number of treatments required depends upon your skin color and coarseness of the hair. Repeat sessions will be necessary to treat the follicles when they re-enter the early growth phase. Re-growth in between treatments will also come in sparser, finer, and less pigmented.
