EVELYN PLACEK, M.D.
Evelyn Placek, M.D. is Board
Certified in internal medicine as well as dermatology. She completed her internal
medicine residency at Lenox Hill Hospital and her dermatology residency at Cornell
Medical Center. Dr. Placek was an Associate Clinician at New York Hospital and
is currently an Attending Physician at White Plains Hospital Medical Center. She
is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a member of the New York State
Medical Society, and was President of the Dermatology Section of the Westchester
County Medical Society.
Dr. Evelyn Placek has been in practice with Dermatology
Consultants of Westchester for over 16 years. She specializes in cosmetic dermatology
and has advanced training in laser treatments, Botox® injections, and the administrative
techniques of filler agents such as collagen and Restylane®. She has many years
of experience with leg vein injections, facial peels, and laser hair removal.
Dr. Placek graduated
magna cum laude from Colgate University where
she was a member of
Phi Beta Kappa. She completed her premedical training
at Columbia University and received her M.D. from Cornell University Medical College.
At Cornell, she served as a faculty advisor to her peers, performed clinical research
and published several papers. She was selected to be Chief Resident in her final
year.
She volunteers at skin cancer screenings, and is an expert consultant
as a medical malpractice case reviewer.
