Different types and strengths of peeling agents are used to penetrate the various levels of the skin and, depending on what the desired effect may be, produce varying results. We use one, or a series of mild to moderate peeling agents which gently resurface skin to reduce fine lines, brown spots, blotchiness, mild acne scarring, some types of acne, and actinic keratoses or precancerous lesions. We use glycolic acid peels, salicylic acid peels, trichloracetic acid (TCA) and Jessner's peels. Following a comprehensive consultation, you will be advised on the ideal skin care regimen to suit your needs and particular skin type. The optimum program is often a combination of peeling treatments and selected home care products designed to enhance the benefits in between office visits.
